Wine estate De Apostelhoeve
Dutch wine tradition, which has its origins in Roman times, gradually gave way to other forms of agricultural activity after the Middle Ages. Until 1970 when the first vines returned to the southern slopes of the Jeker valley in Maastricht. Here, in one of Limburg's most beautiful spots on the Louwberg, the oldest and largest wine estate in the Netherlands is enthroned, De Apostel-hoeve. This wine estate, now over 8 hectares in size, produces six beautiful, dry white wines from Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling and Pinot-Gris grapes. You will get a tour and some tastings at this beautiful wine estate.
